Habitat: Chamaedaphne calyculata--Sphagnum spp. bog in swale between sand spit (extending along present shore) and inland red clay bank (delimiting original shore). A.) Sphagnum--shrub mat. Assoc. species for Cochrane & Cochrane 9227: Hab. A): Carex cephalantha, C. trispema, C. limosa (common), Eriophorum spissum, Calopogon pulchellus, Scheuchzeria palustris, Pinus strobus seedlings, Rhynchospora alba, Myrica gale, Sarracenia purpurea, Menyanthes trifoliata, Kalmia polifolia, Andromeda glaucophylla. Very common.
