Habitat:
A mesic prairie following S-and mostly SE-facing side of low ridge. At the top edge of the road bank where the grassy weedy right-of-way merges with good quality mesic prairie. Assoc.: Agrostis gigantea, Aster ericoides, Bromus inermis, Cornus foemina ssp. racemosa, Euphorbia corollata, Melilotus alba, Monarda fistula, and Rubus sp. Very rare, one clump having been observed.
