Habitat: Dry upland hardwood stand with conifers, top edge of W-facing limestone cliff and steep slope below. Soil: Kewaunee fine sandy loam. Quercus alba-Pinus strobus, with Tilia americana below, Juniperus virginiana above; both with Prunus serotina. Somewhat open edge of clifftop, with Carex eburnea, Aquilegia canadensis, Physocarpus opulifolius, Leonurus cardiaca, Symphoricarpos albus.
