Edge of elevated, hard-water spring run, highly calcareous; water 1--2 in. deep. Assoc.: Equisetum fluviatile, Geum aleppicum, Juncus nodosus, Mimulus glabratus var. fremontii. Rooted in wet moss cushions atop low Carex tussocks at water's edge, also in Mimulus glabratus mats in water 1 in. deep.
