Habitat: Floating in shallow water. Carex stricta, southern (tussock) sedge meadow with C. lacustris & C. lasiocarpa, the C. comosa immediately assoc. with Eleocharis smallii, Impatiens capensis, Polygonum lapathifolium, and Bidens cernua.
