Habitat: Dryish, heavily disturbed sedge meadow (no tussock forming Carices) on sand with huge ant mounds, now the border of a white spruce nursery. Assoc. Agrostis scabra, A. gigantea, Panicum boreale, Spartina pectinata, Carex scoparia, Scirpus cyperinus,Juncus canadensis, J. brevicaudatus, Aletris.
