Habitat: In wet-mesic forest of Thuja and Fraxinus nigra. Wet swales have limy muck with Impatiens biflora, Glyceria canadensis, Scutellaria galericulata, S. lateriflora, Lycopus uniflorus, Carex rostrata, C. intumescens, C. leptonervia, C. disperma, C. deweyana, Rubus pubescens, Habenaria psycodes, Geum allepicum, G. rivale, Cardamine pennsylvanicum, Ranunculus septentrionalis. Common.
