Verbatim Date: 1957-09-29
Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Lincoln, Corning Twp.
45.18522082  -89.8686418 +-1138m.
Verbatim Coordinates: T31N R05E sec09
Georeference Remarks: Latitude/Longitude was derived from the Township, Range, Section location. This causes an imprecision.
Habitat: In an aspen grove, one of the grasses dominating a spot like a nice field of grain. In this case lighter chamois color than usual. For the novice, to name the species an ullustration showing the flower cluster as its appears in the field, a half-opened fan dipping gracefully to one side would be the most telling one it seems to me. Of course, such is always the case as I note from your list that various factors are used to point the finger at some distinguishing characteristic. I mention the above as an instance of a characteristic caught in the field which could not be gotten from a pressed specimen.
