Habitat:
Quercus alba forest with some Ostrya virginiana, a little Prunus serotina, and very few Quercus rubra trees. Assoc.: Aster lateriflorus, Carex blanda, Galium concinnum, Leonurus cardiaca, Rubus occidentalis, and Solidago ulmifolia. Formerly grazed, starting to recover. Steep rocky valley slope above sandstone cliffs overlooking the river.
