Habitat: Found along a gravel road that runs along an abandoned RR bed. About 1m off the W side of the road. Edge of an oak forest growing along a roadside. Dominants in the canopy are Quercus borealis, Quercus alba, Tilia americana. Other associates inlude Virburnum lentago, Smilax ecirrhata, Acer negundo, Smilax herbacea, Dioscorea villosa, Panicum latifolium, Rhus radicans, Geranium maculatum, Podophyllum peltatum, Galium concinnum, Ciracea quadrisulcata,
