Habitat:
Upland dry-mesic hardwoods, in overgrown openings around old mine diggings. Occuring both immediately adjacent to and quite removed from diggings and tailings. MASS COLLECTION, one leaf from the 5th node up, each from a different plant. Zinc-rich tailings have evident effects on plants growing on their margins, such as yellowing and increasing number of parts. [See label for more info] Sheet 2 of 3.
