Habitat:
Moist sandy soil. Along sides of hwy. Associates include Osmunda regalis, Thelypteris palustris, Onoclea sensibilis, Osmunda regalis, Helanium autumnale, and Iris sp. and Achillea millefolium. Flowers pure white; most plants through flowering and with young fruit capsules. Scattered but common here. Leaves smooth, somewhat fleshy.
