Habitat:
Along path nead edge of channel between lakes. Found with Iris, Impatiens, Alnus, Pteridium, Maianthemum, Scutellaria, Rubus, Corylus, Gaultheria, Trientalis, Carex spp., Chelone, Pinus, Betula, Quercus, Oniclea, Cornus, Myrica, Aster spp. Less common along lake shore edge. Medium shade in this mixed boreal forest. Sandy soil.
