Habitat: Stabilized roadside ditch, well reverted toward sedge meadow, on low lying, poorly drained black loamy sand (Dunning Sand) nex to extensive sedge meadow. Carex stricta dominant, w/ C. scoparia & Scirpus cyperinus the other Cyperaceae present. Assoc.: Calamagrostis canadensis, Glyceria canadensis, Juncus canadensis, Salix discolor, S. petiolaris, S. pyrifolia, Comptonia peregrina, Potentilla simplex, Rubus hispidus, Spiraea alba, S. tomentosa, Epilobium angustifolium, Oenothera perennis, Lysimachia terrestris, Lycopus americanus, L. uniflorus, Campanula aparinoides, Aster simplex, Erigeron annuus, Eupatorium perfoliatum, Helianthus giganteus, Solidago gigantea, S. gymnospermoides.
