Habitat:
Growing near crest of hill ar edge of sandstone escarpment with Cornus racemosa, Heuchera Richardsonii, Gaylusaccia baccata. Quercus velutina and Prunus serotina only trees nearby. Sunny southern exposure; soil very sandy but well developed duff layer. Steep slope in curve of road. Entire population consists of only a few (approx. 5) individuals.
