Habitat: With Parnassia parviflora,,Gnaphalium, Achillea millefolium, Gentiana rubricaulis, Juncus balticus, Solidago sp., and S. nemoralis, Spiranthes, Gerardia, Fragaria virginiana, Lathyrus (japonicus), Triadenum, young Salix rigida, and Populus tremuloides and seedlings of Populus balsamifera. Very common. Flowers pink-purple. Individuals vary greatly in stature.
