Habitat: Excellent bluff prairie on bluffs formed by river. On calcareous substrate, little disturbed. With Aster ptarmicoides, A. ericoides, Helianthus occidentalis, Salix humilis, Prunus pumila, Bouteloua hirsuta, B. curtipendula, Solidago rigida, S. nermoralis Andropogon gerardii, A. scoparius, Sorghastrum nutans, Scutellaria leonardii, Amorpha canescens, Baptisia leuchophaea, Comanrda umbellata, Sporobolus heterolepis, Potentilla arguta, Euphorbia corollata, Spiranthes cernua, Liatris cylindracea, Kuhnia eupatorioides, Equisetum heymale, Stipa spartea, Liatris aspera, Ratibida pinnata, Lespedeza capitata, Agalinis aspera, Linum sulcatum, Oenothera serrulata, Muhlenbergia cuspidata; and on rock outcrops Cheilanthes feei [see label...]
