Habitat:
In variable prairie habitat in RR right-of-way. Varying from wet (Spiraea alba) to damp (tall Silphium perfoliatum and Andropogon gerardi) to dry (Andropogon scpoarius and Petalostemum candidum). Soil mostly sandy. In full sun. Common in dryer part of site. Less than 1m tall.
