Habitat: In middle of now-closed, two-track logging road. Sandy soil, partial shade. With Muhlenbergia mexicana, Echinochloa muricata, Poa annua, Plantago major, Cerastium vulgatum, Agrostis hyemalis, and Gnaphalium uliginosum. Nearby woods of Acer saccharum, Quercus rubra, and Betula papyrifera. Single plant.
