Habitat: In 0.5-1.0 m strip between waterline and more upland community. Mucky, sandy, peaty soil. Nearly full sun. With Bidens connatus, stunted Sagittaria sp. and Eupatorium perfoliatum, and stranded Lemna minor. Adjacent to Myrica gale, Calamagrostis canadensis, and Carex stricta. Several dozen plants.
