Habitat: Abandoned gravle pit in glacial drift, dry, mostly open with much bare sand and gravel, but some invasion of young Ulmus pumila, Populus deltoides, Lonicera x bella, Morus alba, etc. Quite weedy, with Artemisia caudata, Poa spp., Androsace occidentalis, Holosteum embellatum (rare), Lithospermumn icisum, and much Melilotus.
