Habitat: Sedge meadow on peat deposit in small depression, latter an opening surrounded on N. by rd., W of Alnus-Cornus swamp, S and E by Thuja-Larix swamp. Carex sterilis (in loose tussocks) dominant, w/ Thuja occidentalis saplings, Thelypteris palustris, Panicum implicatum & galium labradoricum all subdominant. With Osmunda regalis var. spectabilis, Bromus ciliatus, Glyceria striata, Muhlenbergia glomerata, Anemone canadensis, Fragaria virginiana, RUbus pubescens, Nemopanthus mucronata, Hypericum kalmianum, Cornus racemosa, Asclepia incarnata, Lycopus americanus, L. uniflorus, Mentha arvensis, Campanula aparinoides, Lobelia kalmii, Cirsium muticum, Eupatorium maculatum, E. perfoliatum, Solidago uliginosa.
