Habitat: Lakeshore wet marsh on pure open sand, forming a narrow zone between lake and alder swamp. Assoc: Acorus calamus, Pontederia cordata, Glyceria grandis, Carex rostrata, Dulichium arundinaceum, Salix lucida, Polygonum amphibium var. stipulaceum, Rorippa islandica var. fernaldiana, Lysimachia terrestris, Sium suave, little else.
