Habitat:
Marsh community of emergent aquatics along shore of river, a medium hard, warm water stream with slightly alkaline, light brown water and gravelly bottom. Assoc.: Carex lacustris (rare), Dulichium arundinaceum, and Eleocharis smallii (locally abundant in water 5-16 in deep). Species locally abundant in water 5-9 in deep.
