Habitat: In marsh area. With Cornus, Solidago, Sambucus, Helianthus, Trifolium, Plantago, Taraxacum, Ambrosia, Echinocystis, Erigeron, Conyza, Asclepias, Leersia, Rumex, Polygonum, Pilea, Bidens spp., Mentha, Lycopus, Amaranthus, Carex spp., grasses. More common in this disturbed marsh lowland. Little shade. Soil black, rich, sodden humus.
