Habitat: Codominant in small lakeshore wet marsh with Glyceria canadensis, in up to 18" of water. Associates: Leesia oryzopsis, Typha latifolia, Eleocharis smallii, Carex rostrata, Polygonum coccineum, Cicuta bulbifera, Lysimachia terrestris, Scutellaris galericulata, Scirpus cyperinus, Spirea alba, S. tomentosa var. rosea. Bounded on deep water side by Brasenia-Nuphar-Nymphaea-Utricularia society, on grassy, sandy rocky shore by lightly grazed Acer saccharum stand.
