Habitat:
Associated with C. chrysocarpa and C. chrysocarpa var. aboriginum, also with shrubby thickets of Ulmus sp., Berberis vulgaris, Ribes missouriensis, Rosa multiflora and Celastrus scandens, little else. Quercus macrocarpa savanna, formerly heavily grazed, now unused and growing up to thickets of native and non-native shrubs. A tree with rounded crown. [Same individual as Phipps and Smith 5411].
