Locality: United States, Wisconsin, Columbia, Poynette
Habitat: This plant looks like a small shrub, but I'm told it dies to the ground each winter. Was growing in a rather moist spot. Height 20 to30 inches. This specimen picked the first week in Aug. Nearly out of bloom at that time. The neighbor who gave me this did not know if it was wild or been planted there. Had been there for years. Introduced from China and Japan.
