Habitat: Roadside ditch cleared through swampy black spruce forest. Assoc.: a) bank: Scirpus rubrotinctus, Polygonum sagittatum, Stellaria longifolia var. longifolia, Scutellaria lateriflora. b) standing water: Calla palustris, Iris versicolor, Glyceria canadensis, Potentilla palustris, Lysimacia thyrsidflora. Equisetum fluviatile dominates the less-vegetated ditch with deeper, very slowly flowing water across the road.
