Habitat: Region rich mesic to moist, very dense prairie. Small pocket of southern sedge meadow in bottom of tiny, scarcely discernible intermittent stream; Carex stricta dominant, with standing water between hummocks; associates include Typha latifolia, Sparganium eurcarpum, Sagittaria latifolia, and Polygonum amphibium.
