Habitat:
Weedy 2-track lane where passing through shaded, relatively moist, topographically transitional zone between sand barrens & floodplain hardwoods, also on low sand ridges between wet depressions on the floodplain, where associated with Bromus latiglumis, Cinna arundinacea, Cornus racemosa, Desmodium glutinosum, Eupatorium rugosum, Galium triflorum, Ilex verticillata, Potentilla simplex, Prenanthes alba, Symphyotrichum lateriflorum, and Teucrium canadense.
Occurrence Remarks:
Plant not glaucous; heads small, corollas whitish, drying pale yellow.
