Mosses in mammoth hummocks and extensive carpets. 1) very wet, open spruce forest with many fallen logs: Carex 392, 396, Eriophorum tenellum, E. virginicum, Nemopanthus mucronata, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Ledum groenlandicum, Vaccinium procumbens, G. hispdula, Linnaea borealis, grading through very open Larix zone to 2) Ericaceae meadow: Carex 395, Scheuchzeria palustris, Kalmia polifolia, Andromeda glaucophylla, dominated by Chamaedaphne calyculata.
