Occurrence Remarks: Additional Data for Cochrane & Cochrane 11595: This species is generally considered to be non-native in Wisconsin, although it is rarely encountered in thickets and disturbed woods in the southern two tiers of counties. It is sometimes cultivated, and our few collections may represent escapes or long-persistent planted shrubs rather than natural populations. Its occurrence in Wisconsin was reported by Musselman et al. (Mich. Bot. 10:187.1971). The next Wisconsin mention was by Salamun (Trans. Wis. Acad.67:110. 1979), who did not accept it as belonging on list of our flora. More recently, the species has been reaffirmed for Rock Co. and at the same time reported for Walworth Co. (Cochrane, in Cochrane et al., Mich. Bot. 23: 129. 1984). Sheet 1 of 2.; A single upright busy shrub 2.3 m tall, 19-stemmed from base. Every single fruit fallen by 26 Aug.
