Habitat: Relatively dry, somewhat tussocky, very grassy sedge meadow (originally a fen, very slowly drying out due to deepening and straightening of spring run). Assoc.: Andropogon gerardii, A. scoparius, Aster pilosus, Bromus ciliatus, Carex stricta, Eriophorum angustifolium, Salix candida, Daucus carota, Elymus trachycaulus, Erigeron annuus, Spartina pectinata, and Teucrium canadense var. virginicum.
