Assoc.: Andropogon gerardii, Bromus inermis, Panicum oligosanthes var. scribnerianum, Bouteloua curtipendula, Amorpha canescens, Melilotus alba, Asclepias verticillata, Lobelia spicata, Helianthus occidentalis, Liatris aspera, Solidago canadensis, etc. [2 specimens. 1. P. cf. hispida (Waterfall) Cronq.; pubescence sparse, the hairs spreading - to appressed-ascending. 2. P. virginiana Mill.; pubescence of short, stiff, recurved hairs. TSC]
