Habitat: Upland Forest on sandy bank on the E side of the Brule River and W of Len Root Road. Growing in Boreal Forest in upland sandy boreal woods formed on bank of the Brule River with Abies balsamea, Betula papyrifera, Picea glauca, Populus tremuloides, Quercus rubra, Diervilla, Ilex verticvillata, Aster macrophylla, Carex blanda, Equisetum arvense, E. sylvaticum, Maianthemum canadense, Moehringia lateriflora, Onoclea sensibilis, Thalictrum dioicum, etc. Equisetum arvense, E. sylvaticum, Maianthemum canadense, Moehringia lateriflora, Onoclea sensibilis, Thalictrum dioicum, etc.
Occurrence Remarks: Analysis of the Vegetative Cover of the Brule River Watershed, Revisited 2015-2018. Shrub 1.5 to 2 feet tall.
