Habitat: Near shrub thicket. Streambottom tussuck (these mostly 12in. high) sedge meadow, Carex stricta dominant, Calamagrostis canadensis subdominant. Assoc.: Equisetum arvense, Onoclea sensibilis, Thelypteris palustris, Typha latifolia, Alisma plantago-aquatica Glyceria canadensis, G. grandis, Leersia oryzoides, Phalaris arundinacea, Carex lacustris, Scirpus cyperinus, Salix bebbiana, Alnus rugosa, Polygonum sagittatum, Rumex sp., Impatiens capensis, Spiraea alba, Lysimachia terrestris, Cicuta maculata, Asclepias incarnata, Aster simplex, A. pubentior, A. lucidulus, A. puniceus, Bidens cernua, Helianthus giganteus, Eupatorium maculatum, Solidago canadensis.
