Carex stricta dominant, w/ C. aquatilis & their hybrids; Calamagrostis canadensis subdominant, Phalaris arundinacea locally common. Assoc.: Equisetum arvense, Iris virginica, Salix rigida, Pilea fontana, Rumex sp., Thalictrum dasycarpum, Lathyrus palustris, Impatiens capensis, Cicuta bulbifera, Lysimachia terrestris, Asclepias incarnata, Lycopus uniflorus, Scutellaria galericulata, Stachys palustris, Galium trifidum, Campanula aparinoides, Aster puniceus, A. simplex, Eupatorium maculatum, E. perfoliatum, Helianthus stromosus, Heliopsis helianthoides, Solidago gigantea.
