Habitat:
25-acre southern mesic hardwood forest on relatively flat, generally low ground with kettle depressions and low areas holding water part of the year, but still on undulating morainal topography. This tract contains especially large trees: Quercus rubra (30-42 in. d.b.h.), Q. alba (22-26 in. d.b.h.), Acer saccharum (20-27 in. d.b.h.), & Prunus serotina (16-20 in. d.b.h.). Assoc. (7934-7941): Caulophyllum thalictroides, Cornus racemosa, Prunus virginiana, Smilacina racemosa, S. stellata, Viburnum rafinesquianum var. affine, Zanthoxylum americanum, etc.
