Brushy overgrown dry prairie with Schizachyrium scoparium and Sorghastrum nutans dominant in small openings; badly invaded by Juniperus virginiana var. virginiana and Zanthoxylum americanum. N-facing slope on ridge-like hills of Upper Cambrian (St. Croixan) sandstone in area of rolling topography originally covered in oak savanna and prairie. Locally common. 60-acre tract recently acquired by IAPTF.
