Habitat: Dry prairie on SW-facing slope w/ sandy soil & loose rock, in middle of huge Rhus typhina (or T. Xpulvinata) clone, with Populus tremuloides sprouts, Quercus velutina grubs, Amorpha canescens, Anemone cylindrica, Dichanthelium oligosanthes, Euphorbia corollata, Helianthus occidentalis, Kuhnia eupatorioides, Monarda fistulosa, Oxalis violacea, Schizachyrium scoparium, Scutellaria leonardii.
Occurrence Remarks: Spklts. 1.8-1.9 mm; long hairs of upper sheaths 2.1-3.2 mm. Largest, most accessible prairie remnant on the Blue R. Bluffs.
