Habitat: Damp mossy loamy sand, opening in windbreak surrounding dryish, heavily disturbed sedge meadow (no tussock forming Carices) on sand w/hugh ant mounds, now the border of a white spruce nursery. Assoc. Agrostis gigantea, Carex scoparia, Juncus canadensis, Juncus brevicaudatus. Slight shade to mostly full sun. Assoc. Juncus marginatus, J. tenuis, Rhynchospora capitellata, Salix humilis, Commandra umbellata, Rubus setosus, Polygala sanguinea, Hypericum majus, Asclepias hirtella, Pedicularis canadensis, Liatris pycnostachya.
