Habitat: Grass-dom. mesic to wet-mesic old field reverting to original prairie vegetation; burned this past spring. Assoc.: Arnoglossum plantagineum-70 plants in area 40 yds. L X 40 yds. W, Aster ericoides, Eleocharis compressa-subdom, Euthamia graminifolia, Fragaria virginiana, Hypoxis hirsuta, Juncus dudleyi, Liatris pycnostachya, Pentaphylloides floribunda, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Ratibida pinnata, Schizachyrium scoparium, Scirpus pendulus, Solidago canadensis, S. nemoralis, S. rigida. No Andropogon gerardii seen. Salix consisted of knee-high sprouts.Tract lies w/in large block of DNR-owned grasslands (prairies, sedge meadows, fens, long-abandoned pastures & fields) forming "habitat preservation area." Fast-growing sprouts 4.4-5.5dm Ht
