Wet-mesic old field recovering to original prairie; burned this past spring. Assoc.: Carex conoidea-locally common, C. tetanica, Eleocharis compressa, Geum aleppicum, Poa pratensis-dominant, Pycnanthemum virginianum, Solidago canadensis. This tract lies within a large block of DNR-owned grasslands (prairies, sedge meadows, fens, long-abandoned pastures and fields) that has the potential of becoming the largest and richest prairie in the state.
