Habitat:
Brushy narrow sandy strip a few meters wide along base of W-facing cliffs, a few m above level of adjacent marsh. Quercus bicolor, Ilex verticillata, Populus tremuloides, Quercus macrocarpa, Rhus typhina, Acer negundo. Series of high, sheer W-facing Cambrian sandstone cliffs along marshy valley of river. With Fraxinus pensylvanica, Symplocarpus foetidus at masrshy base of cliff, less sandy. Large tree with several leaning trunks from base.
