Habitat: Moist mossy sandy top of artificial dike across very extensive, completely treeless, wet Cyperaceae-Sphagnum meadow on deep peat underlain by sandy subsoil (assoc. spp. incl. Thelypteris palustris, Dryopteris cristata, Spiraea tomentosa, and Rubus hispidus). Salix humilis, true Salix nigra, Polygala sanguinea, Gaylussacia baccata, Aster umbellatus, Solidago gigantea var. serotina, S. juncus, & S. uliginosa var. peracuta. Ground fairly well vegetated but some open soil present.
