Xeric scrub oak-jack pine forest (typical of zone of original oak savanna vegetation) with ground layer dominated by Carex pensylvanica and shrubs conspicuous. Sandy soil on gentle slope leading down to small kettle hole lake. Corylus americana, Prunus pensylvanica, Chimaphila umbellata, Gaultheria procumbens, & Diervilla lonicera.
