Habitat: Extensive northern mesic hardwood forest on top of small bluff-like peninsula. Acer saccharum dominant, with Abies balsamea and Ostrya virginia. Rich understory developed on Niagara dolomite bedrock fronting lake. Assoc.: Lycopodium annotinum, Athyrium angustum, Cystopteris fragilis v. fragilis, Poa saltuensis, P. languida, Schizachne purpurascens, Milium effusum, Carex arctata, C. deweyana, Clintonia borealis, Smilacina racemosa, Polygonatum pubescens, Trillium grandiflorum, Actaea pachypoda, Actaea rubra, Thalictrum dioicum, Dentaria diphylla, Streptopus roseus, Ribes cynosbati, Viola pensylvanica, Aralia nudicaulis, Osmorhiza claytonii, Galium triflorum, etc. Sheet 2 of 3.
