Habitat:
Brushy and partly wooded, some trees native (Ulmus americana, Acer saccharinum, A. negundo, Quercus macrocarpa, Populus deltoides) and with many shrubby and herbaceous escaped species such as Lonicera cf. tatarica, Hemerocaulis fulva and a few which may have been planted (Thuja occidenatlis). Fruit red and hard, then black and juicy, tasty but bland.
