Habitat: Outwash plain (Pence Sandy Loam) in river valley. Northern dry-mesic forest, major dominants magnificent 80-100-year-old Pinus strobus and P. resinosa trees, importance values of other trees not very great (Acer rubrum, Quercus rubra, Betula papyrifera); shrub content high and herbs diverse but Ericac. & Orchidac. underrepresented: Lycopodium lucidulum, L. clavatum, L. obscurum var. isophyllum, Athyrium angustum, Brachyelytrum erectum var. septentrionale, Poa saltuensis, Schizachne purpurascens, Anemone quinquefolia, Thalictrum dioicum, Polygonatum pubescens, Osmorhiza claytonii, Mitchella repens, Linnaea b. Sheet 1 of 7.
